GATE Notification 2023

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a National Level Entrance Test. It is being conducted for  M. Tech./M.E./PhD Programmes in IITs, IISERs, IISc, and other known Institutes of India. GATE 2023 will be conducted on 4th, 5th, 11th & 12th February 2023.  GATE score is important for recruitment in government and private organizations.  The latest updates are available on this website.

About GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)

GATE is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various UG (undergraduate) subjects in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture & PG (post-graduate) level subjects in Science. GATE 2023 Exam will be conducted for 25 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 4th, 5th, 11th & 12th February 2023. The GATE exam centers are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside India. The exam would be purely a CBT (Computer Based Test).

The GATE score would reflect the relative performance level of the student in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several yrs of exam data. Note that the GATE 2023 marks score is valid for 3 YEARS from the date of announcement of the exam results.

 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

It is important to check the GATE 2023 eligibility criteria before you fill the GATE application form is given below:

Age Limit: There is no age limit to attempt the GATE examination.

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national. Besides that, candidates from Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, and Singapore are also eligible for GATE.

Pass %: There are no min pass percentage criteria in the qualifying examination to apply for GATE 2023.

Educational Qualification: All the candidates must have passed their respective qualifying examinations or can be in the final year of the course except for few courses.

How to Apply:

The scanned photograph and the signature have to be uploaded. The application fee has to be online. For this whole process, there is a period of one month.

Registration process:

Following are the steps to apply for the GATE 2023 Exam.

• Go to the official website https://gate.iitk.ac.in/
• Click on apply link for GATE 2023.
• Register yourself by providing your full name, valid email ID, mobile number, and password. After successful registration, candidates will be provided with an Enrollment ID. Log in using your enrollment ID and password.
• Enter your Personal Information.
• Give your postal address along with your PIN code.
• Enter your Academic Details.
• Enter the name & address of your college along with the PIN code.
• Enter the GATE subject (paper) you want to appear for and choose examination cities.
• Upload scanned images of your Photograph, Signature, Eligibility Certificate, and other documents in the necessary format and size.
• Next, Make a payment of GATE application fees and hit on Submit your application
• Finally, Take a hard copy of your GATE online application form for future usage.

Application Fee: For Female, SC/ST/PwD candidates application fee is 850/- and all other category candidate’s fee is 1700/- and for international candidates, the fee should be US dollars 100.
