About Bachelor of Law

The first academic degrees were all law degrees in medieval universities, and the first law degrees were doctorates. The bachelor’s degree originated at the University of Paris, whose system was implemented at Oxford and Cambridge. The law students studied both canon law and civil law.

The Bachelors of law is a legal education that had been traditionally offered as a three-year graduate degree. An LLB student has a choice of specializing in civil or criminal law stream according to the interest at the end of the program.
