Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST Shibpur) is a premier public engineering institution located at Shibpur, Howrah district, West Bengal. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance under MHRD by the Government of India along with IITs and NITs. The institute offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in engineering and architecture as well as masters and doctorate degrees in science and management.

Admission to most undergraduate and postgraduate courses in IIEST Shibpur is granted through written entrance examinations. Currently, it’s JEE (Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency.

IIEST Shibpur Admission: Candidates should have passed 10+2 from any recognized Board with a minimum of 55% aggregate (for SC/ST – 50%) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Applications should be completed only through online mode. Candidates applying for admission should follow the steps below while filling out the application form:

• Visit the Official Website of the University. i.e., www.iiests.ac.in
• Click on “Registration for New User”. Now enter the details such as Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Email ID, Phone Number, etc.
• After the registration part is completed, the applicants will be provided with a new User ID and Password.
• Login with the credentials and fill in the remaining application parts such as Educational Qualification, Caste, Address.
• Upload Scanned Photo & Signature in prescribed size.
• Upload the required documents as mentioned in the application form.
• Payment should be made through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking or Demand Draft.

The Counselling Process will be in three steps.

Online Registration 

Candidates have to register themselves for the Counselling Process. All the required details are to be filled in and Fee Payment to be made through online mode. An account will be created for the candidate and login with the given credentials for further process.

Online Choice Filling & Locking 

Log in with your credentials for the Choice Filling Process. Candidates should give preference to their desired colleges & Courses. Candidates should lock their choices. Choice Filling & Locking is to do before the deadline.

Seat Allotment & Document Verification:

Seat Allotment will be given on the basis of Choices chosen by the candidates, Number of Vacancies, Valid Scores of JEE Main. Once the seat is allotted, the candidate needs to pay the fee and should attend the Document Verification Process.
