About NSI
The National Sugar Institute (NSI) established in 1936, is involved in research, training and advisory services to the sugar and allied industry, and functions under the Department of Food and Public Distribution of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Located in Kalyanpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, it provides technical education and training in research in all branches of sugar chemistry, sugar technology, sugar engineering, and allied fields.
The institute offers postgraduate diploma courses in sugar technology (ANSI (ST) Associateship of the National Sugar Institute in Sugar Technology), sugar engineering (ANSI (SE) Associateship of the National Sugar Institute in Sugar Engineering) and in industrial fermentation and alcohol technology (DIFAT, diploma in industrial fermentation and alcohol technology). In addition, a post-diploma course in sugar engineering (SECC, sugar engineering certificate course) is offered.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (based on the course chosen for admission) from any recognized University.
Applicants possessing the final year are also eligible to apply.
Application Form
Candidates applying for the admissions should follow the below-mentioned steps while filling the application form. Applications are to be filled through online mode.
- Visit the official website of the University.
- Click on Online Application – Click Here
- Enter the details such as Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Email ID, Phone Number for primary registration.
- After the registration part is completed, the applicants will be provided with a new User ID and Password.
- Login with the credentials and fill the remaining application part such as Educational Qualification, Caste, Address.
- Upload Scanned Photo & Signature in prescribed size.
- Upload the required documents as mentioned in the application form.
- Make the fee payment through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card or Demand Draft.

NSI Admission Test Admit Card
The Admit Card is declared to be released in May 2020. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of the University. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the exam without the admit card. Here are the steps to download the NSI Admit Card.

- Login with user ID and password.
- Click on the “NSI Admission Test” Admit Card link.
- Enter your application number and Date of Birth.
- Check all the details mentioned in the Admit Card are correct or not.
- Download the Admit Card and take a printout of it.
