About Indian Law Institute

Institute conducts the ILI Common Admissions Test (ILI CAT) once a year in the month of April. Through the admission test, the institute selects the candidates for admission into the different programs in law. The admission to law colleges of India can be taken by qualifying ILICAT. There are various law colleges in the state offering various LLM seats for the postgraduates of ILICAT. The Instructions, Rules, and regulations are decided by the ILICAT Indian Law Institute (ILI) and in compliance with all the rules and regulations of ILICAT Law authorities and the relevant Authorities orders in place.

The candidates who wish to submit his / her Online Application form are advised to go to the institute website www.ili.ac.in and follow the link Admission-2020. The candidates are advised to read the instructions and guidelines carefully before proceeding to the filing of application form online.  After making the required payment online towards processing fee, the candidate has to note down the transaction id for future reference. The candidate is advised to preview his application form before the final submission.

ILICAT Eligible Criteria

  • Ph.D. in Law: An applicant holding LL.M. Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks is eligible to apply. The application form complete in all respect along with a brief Research Plan shall be submitted for admission.
  • LL.M. – One Year: The Candidates Should Pass LL.B. Degree with not less than 50% marks from
    any University / Institution recognized by Bar Council of India as eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India.
    or A Law Degree from a foreign country with at least
    50% marks in an aggregate or equivalent grade.
  • P.G. Diploma: Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G. Diploma Programmes is a Graduate Degree from a
    recognized University. 5% weight age will be given to the Law Graduates for admission to all Post Graduate Diploma Programmes. Candidates who have passed or appeared in the 4th year examination of LL.B. (five year course) from a
    recognized institute/university are also eligible for admission to Post Graduate Diploma Programmes.
  • On-Line Certificate Courses: who is pursuing/has pursued diploma or degree after 10+2 and has access to computer and Internet can apply for online Certificate Courses.

ILICAT Exam Pattern

The ILICAT 2020 test includes  3 parts and a total of 144 multiple choice questions of subjective and objective type. The total time for the test is 150 minutes. 1 mark will be added for each correct answer given for objective type questions and ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer given. Applicants will obtain 5 marks for every right answer given in subjective type questions.

ILICAT 2020 Admit Card

ILICAT 2020 Admit Card and Roll No. for the All India Admission Test will be issued to the candidates and will be sent through email. In case of not receiving the admit card, the candidate may contact on given phone numbers for further assistance.

The applicant who submitted the application form online can download Admit card or login to the portal through  admission-2020 Link by using the login credentials.  ILICAT Duplicate Admit Card will be issued by the Institute with the approval of the Competent Authority if the Admit Card is lost by the candidate.

ILICAT Result

The ILICAT 2020 Result will be published in both the online and offline mode. The result is published on the notice board of Indian Law Institute, Delhi office. Institute will release the result of the exam in the month of June/July/August 2019.

The merit list for ILICAT 2020 is prepared by taking marks scored by candidates in all the stages of ILI CAT selection process. The merit list for the ILICAT exam comprises the name of the candidates who have been shortlisted for admission along with with their score and rank in the Indian Law Institute admission process 2020.

ILICAT Scholarship

The scholarship will be given only if the student obtains GPA/CGPA of ‘A’ Grade or above in the university examinations and maintains the quality of research submitted by him/her during the course of study. The Institute offers scholarships of Rs.30,000 per annum to the students admitted in ILI in order of merit of the All India Admission Test to the first two students admitted to the One Year LL.M. Degree Programme. The scholarship will be awarded in three installments one at the time of admission, 2nd & 3rd after the declaration of 1st and 2nd Semester result.

ILICAT Admission Procedure

Students who have cleared the earlier rounds of GD and viva- voce will be invited to the counseling process. Counselling will be conducted in 3 rounds on the basis of the merit list. A separate letter will be sent to the counseling so Students must keep on checking the official website for updates.
