About Delhi Common Entrance Test

Delhi Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 will be conducted by the Department of Training and Technical Education. It will be held at the state level for the admission of candidates in numerous Diploma courses. The examination will be held in May and the registration for it will begin in March 2020. The 85% of seats through the Delhi CET will be filled with state candidates. Whereas, the remaining 15% will be allocated to the candidate belonging to the open category.

CET Delhi 2022 is also known as the Delhi Polytechnic entrance exam. This examination also provides entry to second-year diploma courses. In addition to this, candidates can also take Delhi Common Entrance Test for admission to one-year certificate courses at World Class Skill Center (WCSC).

CET Delhi Application Form 2022

CET Delhi application form will be submitted online only. No other mode will be entertained for submitting the application form. The application form will be available from the 3rd week of March 2020 tentatively. Candidates have to apply separately for each test. The application will be rejected, in case of submitting more than one application form for the same test. At last, candidates must retain the printout of the filled-in application form for further use.

Application Fee

Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 400 (Bank charges and service tax Rs. 18) will be charged to every applicant. The Application fee can be deposited through E-challan/net-banking/debit card. Payment through e-challan can be done only in Branches of the Corporation Bank of India.

CET Delhi Eligibility Criteria

The applicant needs to satisfy the eligibility criteria before applying. Important eligibility conditions are as follows:

Age Limit: The age of candidates should be less than 21 years as of 1st August of the admission year.

Qualification: 

  • The applicants should clear the 10th or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Science, & English Subjects with a scoring minimum of 35% marks.
  • Applicants seeking admission in the Pharmacy program must have passed 12th from any recognized board with obtaining a minimum of 45% marks and 40% marks for candidates from SC/ST category in chemistry, physics, Biology/Mathematics group.
  • Candidates need to qualify for Science, Mathematics & English subjects separately without any grace marks.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or waiting for their results are also eligible to apply.

CET Delhi Exam Pattern 2024

Aspirants can check details about the exam pattern to know how the question paper of CET Delhi is going to be set for the academic year 2022

  • CET Delhi will be conducted as a pen and paper-based test. Only objective-type questions will be asked in the examination.
  • The question paper will consist of a total of 150 questions. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • For tests 1, 4, and 5, the medium of the question paper will be English and Hindi (Bilingual). For test 2, the question paper medium will be English only and for test 3, the medium will be Hindi only.
  • The candidate will receive 4 marks for each correct answer. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

Syllabus for CET Delhi

CET Delhi syllabus for all the tests is mentioned below in detail:

Test-1 Syllabus: CET Delhi Test-1 is conducted for 10th based engineering/non-engineering diploma courses. The question paper contains questions from Physics (40 questions), Chemistry (30 questions), Mathematics (50 questions), Biology (15 questions), and English (15 questions) subjects. The question paper is prepared as per the CBSE syllabus of class IX and class X.

Test-2 Syllabus: Candidates who want to take admission in diploma course in Modern Office Practice – English need to appear this test. This test is also organized for admission to a one-year certificate course in Hospitality Operations, Retail Services & Finance Executive. It includes sections on English Comprehension including Grammar (60 questions) of class 12th level, Current Affairs (45 questions), and Logical & Analytical Ability (45 questions).

Test-3 Syllabus: This test is organized for providing admission to the diploma course in Modern Office Practice – Hindi. A total of 150 questions from Hindi Comprehension including Grammar (60 questions) of class 12th level, Current Affairs (45 questions), and Logical & Analytical Ability (45 questions) will be asked in the examination.

Test 4 Syllabus: Candidates seeking admission in a diploma course in Pharmacy & wish to pursue a one-year certificate course in Software Testing Assistant from World Class Skill Centre (WCSC) can apply for this test. A total of 210 questions will be asked in this test, out of which students have to attempt only 150 questions. The question paper will contain questions from Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), Mathematics (60 questions), and Biology (60 questions) subjects. Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects while there is a choice between Biology & Mathematics subjects. The syllabus is based on the 11th & 12th class syllabus of the CBSE Board.

Test 5 Syllabus: It is organized for lateral entry admission in analogous diploma courses. ITI/10+2 (Vocational Stream) pass-outs can appear in this test. The question paper will comprise Physics (60 questions), Chemistry (30 questions) & Mathematics (60 questions) subjects. Candidates can prepare for this test from the 10th, 11th & 12th class syllabus of the CBSE board.

CET Delhi 2022 Answer Key

Appeared candidates can download the Delhi Polytechnic 2022 Answer Key online mode after around 15 days. After the examination, every student is eager to know how many marks he will score in the examination. Delhi CET 2022 Admit Card

CET Delhi Cut off 2022

As the colleges have limited seats, the cut-off will help to select the most deserving candidates for admission. To get selected for admission to the polytechnic institutes of Delhi, students need to fulfill the cut-off criteria of CET Delhi. Students have to secure more marks than the cutoff marks to be eligible for admission.
