About BIT MESRA

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (BIT Mesra) is an Indian institute of higher education and a deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. It was established in the year of 1955 at Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand, India by the philanthropist & industrialist Late Shri. B. M. Birla. The institute was later headed by Late Shri G.P Birla and the present chairman of the board of govt is Shri C.K Birla.

BIT has 21 academic departments. It offers undergraduate BE/BTech degrees and ME/MTech degrees in the various engineering departments. MSc degrees are offered in applied sciences and B.Pharm./M.Pharm. in pharmaceutical sciences. The dept of IT also offers Master of Computer Application. The department of architecture offers BA (Bachelor of Architecture) and Master of Urban Planning degrees. BIT Mesra MBA 2024 Exam Pattern

BIT Mesra MBA Entrance Test 2022 will judge the analytical, logical, mathematical, Verbal & Computer awareness ability of candidates. The paper will comprise of 120 objective questions divided into four sections.

BIT Mersa MBA 2024 Exam Duration, marks

BIT Mesra offers a two-year full-time MBA program, which is divided into four semesters. Each semester has a duration of approximately six months.

The total marks for the MBA program at BIT Mesra is 1200, and each subject carries 100 marks. The evaluation system is based on both internal and external examinations, where 30% of the marks are allocated to internal examinations, and 70% are allocated to the external examinations.

The duration of each exam varies depending on the subject and the mode of examination. Generally, the exams are conducted for three hours and are conducted in offline mode, i.e., pen and paper based. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exams might be conducted online as well.

BIT Mersa MBA 2024 Negative Marking Scheme

The Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, Jharkhand, follows a negative marking scheme for its MBA program entrance exam. As per the official notification, for each incorrect answer, one-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as negative marking.

Here is an example to help understand the negative marking scheme:

Suppose the total marks for the entrance exam are 100, and there are 100 questions, with each question carrying 1 mark. If a candidate answers 80 questions correctly and 20 questions incorrectly, then the total marks scored by the candidate will be calculated as follows:

Total marks scored = (80 x 1) – (20 x 1/4) = 80 – 5 = 75

Therefore, the candidate’s total score would be 75 out of 100.

It is important to note that this negative marking scheme is subject to change as per the institute’s discretion. So, candidates are advised to keep themselves updated with the latest notification regarding the exam pattern and marking scheme.
