IISER 2024 Negative Marking Scheme

IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) is a group of premier science education and research institutes in India. IISER conducts an entrance exam called IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) for admission to its 5-year BS-MS dual degree program in science.

The IISER Aptitude Test consists of multiple-choice questions with four options, and each question carries three marks. However, there is a negative marking scheme in IAT. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer, and zero marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.

Therefore, it is essential to attempt only those questions in which you are confident about the answer. Random guessing is not recommended as it can lead to a deduction of marks, reducing the overall score.

In summary, the IISER Aptitude Test has a negative marking scheme, where one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer, and zero marks will be awarded for Un attempted questions.
