UPES MET Syllabus 2025

The University has not set any syllabus for the UPESMET 2025. But the topics that are listed below are important as these are asked every year.

General English

This section will include reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, verbal ability. There will be 35 questions in this section. For this section, the students must brush up their grammar, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, verbs, etc. Apart from grammar, you will also get a passage for reading comprehension. The passage has 500-600 words long. For this section, the students can practice from the worksheets available on many websites.

Quantitative

This section consists of Data interpretation and data sufficiency. Most of the questions in this section are based on arithmetic which consists of work, averages, profits and loss, statistics, etc. Other important topics include probability. The students can practice from the class 10th and 12th books as those books build up the base for all the concepts.

General Awareness

This section includes current affairs, business scenarios, and general knowledge. The questions under current affairs will include the current happenings in the world. To be aware of the events going on in the world, the students must make a habit of reading the newspaper daily. This is the best way to prepare for the general knowledge and current affairs section. For the business scenario, the students must have knowledge of the business general knowledge such as the CRR, fiscal and monetary policy, GDP, etc

Analytical and Logical Reasoning

This section is to test the student’s mental ability and to measure your non-verbal skills. The type of exam questions that will be in this section is group-wise and patterns, circular arrangement, blood relations, selection and conditional and other. To prepare for this page, the students must practice as many questions as they can. This is because there can be numerous kinds of questions that can be asked.

UPES MET 2025 Exam Papers & Subjects

UPESMET is a management entrance exam conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) for admission into various MBA programs offered by the university. The exam is usually conducted in online mode and comprises of 140 multiple-choice questions, to be answered within a duration of 2 hours.

The following are the subjects covered in the UPESMET exam:

• General English: This section assesses the candidates’ language proficiency, including reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar.
