Pondicherry University is a central university in Puducherry, India and Founded in 1985 by the Government of India. Pondicherry University has 3 campuses with the main campus located at Puducherry housing 15 Schools, 37 Departments, and 10 Centres.

Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria for Pondicherry University Entrance Test 2020 which includes the Age limit for Admission in Pondicherry University 2020, Pondicherry University Admission Qualification as follows.   •  Age Limit: There’s no specific age limit to appear in Common Entrance Test 2020. Candidates must not be less than 17 years old.
  • Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
  • Qualification: Candidates must have completed three years’ Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institute or University and  It is necessary for the applicants to attain minimum 50 to 55 percent marks in the higher secondary level exam for the Five Year Integrated Programs. The Candidates applying for the Ph.D. program must have completed the Master’s degree from a recognized institute/University.

 Exam Pattern

The entrance examination will be conducted in offline mode. There would be negative marking so One mark would be deducted for any incorrect answers. The exam pattern according to the marks and selected course by students for the Entrance Test 2020 Test is given as follows,

  • Mode: The exam would be led through online mode (PC based online test).
  •  Question: The question paper will be of a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) sort.
  • Number of Questions: Total of 100 questions in the examination.
  • Duration: The term of the examination will be two hours (120 minutes).
  • Marks: The aggregate exam will be of 400 imprints.
  • Stamping Scheme: 4 imprints will give the possibility for each right reply.

Cutoff & Merit List

Pondicherry University Board receives the results of candidates that will be placed in the merit list as per rank secured in the examination. To get admission Ph.D. course, the minimum cut-off for the General category will be ½ of the average of the examination, which is secured by the candidates in the respective subject. For OBC/ST/SC/PWD category, the minimum cut-off will be 10% below the cut-off marks of the General category.

Pondicherry University Admission 

The Candidates have to register for counseling on the official website after successfully clearing the  Entrance Test 2020. The Qualified Students will be called for counseling as per their preferences are given in the application form as per the streams of Students and Rank Qualified on the entrance Exam.
