About Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University

North Gujarat University was established by the Ordinance No. 5 of 1986 dated 17.5.1986 which was later passed as the North Gujarat University Act No.22 of 1986 on 11/9/86 by the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat. The University has been functioning since then and growing and expanding steadily. The town happens to have a composite campus of four affiliated colleges.  Thus this University began to operate and serve 41 colleges scattered over the three erstwhile districts of Banaskantha, Mehsana and Sabarkantha allotted in its jurisdiction.

Hemachandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU) offers UG, PG and doctorate programs along with PG Diploma and Certification courses. There are about 15 courses offered at both UG and PG levels and seven specializations for the Ph.D. program. The University has 244 affiliated colleges across the state of which 26 institutes offer PG programs to students every year. The affiliated colleges are spread across the districts of Patan, Mehsana, Banaskantha, and Sabarkantha.

This university offers many courses candidates interested join this college can apply online. The undergraduate full-time courses are offered for a period of three years whereas the PG programs have a two-year course duration. The Ph.D. program has a minimum duration of three years.
