GUJCET 2025 Exam Papers & Subjects

GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) for admission to various undergraduate courses in the state of Gujarat. The exam is typically held in the month of May every year.

The GUJCET exam consists of multiple-choice questions and is divided into four sections:

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Mathematics
4. Biology

The duration of the exam is 3 hours, and the total number of questions is 120 (40 questions from each section). Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

• Chemistry: Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d- and f-Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers and Chemistry in Everyday Life.
• Mathematics: Relations and Functions, Algebra, Calculus, Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry, Linear Programming, Probability.
• Biology: Diversity in Living World, Cell: Structure and Function, Genetics and Evolution, Structure and Function – Animals & Plants, Reproduction, Growth and Movement in Plants, Ecology and Environment, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and its Applications.

Candidates who wish to apply for engineering courses must appear for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections, while those who want to apply for medical and allied health sciences courses should appear for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology sections.
