About Vinoba Bhave University
Vinoba Bhave University was established in the year 1992 with its headquarter at Hazaribag, the divisional headquarter of the North Chhotanagpur division of the state of JHARKHAND. It is situated at a distance of 100 K.M. from Ranchi, The capital of Jharkhand. Vinoba Bhave University is imparting post-graduate teaching and research in Physical Science, Life Science, Earth Science, Social Science, Humanities, Commerce, Technology, and Medical Science. Besides 22 colleges are managed and maintained by the university, including St. Columba’s College, Hazaribag one of the oldest and well-established colleges in Eastern India (Estd. 1899).

Eligibility Criteria for VBU 2024
VBU Result Semester 1 2024: Masters or an equivalent degree of a University recognized by AIU in the relevant/allied subject, with a minimum of 55% marks for general / OBC and 50% for SC/ST and Handicapped candidates.
A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing at or has appeared in the final year, (IV) semester where semester system is operational, or Masters or equivalent degree exam during the session. VBU Result Semester 3 2024: Duration of Exam: The test will be of three hours duration of 100 marks, and of one paper in one sitting. Questions will be in English only except the Language subjects.
The question shall be divided into two sections (A and B) carrying 40 and 60 marks, respectively:
- Group-A: Twenty multiple-choice questions shall be set each carrying two marks. All the questions are to be answered.
