CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country. The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. UGC NET 2024 Application form
The candidates who are interested in UGC NET should apply only through online mode. Candidates should apply by visiting the official website. The notification of UGC NET is released in the month of May and the starting of application through online mode is from May 10, 2023. Adhar card is necessary to fill the application. Eligibility for UGC NET
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree examination from a UGC recognized college/ university are eligible for UGC NET 2024. Candidates who are appearing or awaiting results for their final year examination of Master’s degrees are also can appear for UGC NET 2024. It may be noted the minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories is 50%.
Note for Ph.D. degree holders: Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s exams completed on September 19, 1991, will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate. This means that the minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET 2024 eligibility criteria for such candidates will be 50% instead of 55%.
