JCECE 2025 Exam Papers & Subjects
The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the JCECE Board for admission to various undergraduate courses in engineering, agriculture, and medical fields in the state of Jharkhand.
The subjects included in JCECE exam are as follows:
For Engineering courses:
- Physics

- Mathematics
For Agriculture courses:
- Physics

The question paper for JCECE exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and the exam duration is three hours. The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based test).
The JCECE Board does not release the previous years’ question papers. However, candidates can find sample papers and mock tests available online to practice and prepare for the exam.

JCECE 2025 Exam Duration & Marks
JCECE stands for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. The duration and marks of the exam depend on the course for which a candidate is appearing.
For Engineering courses:
- The JCECE exam for engineering courses consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total of 150 marks.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
For Agriculture and Forestry courses:
- The JCECE exam for agriculture and forestry courses also consists of 150 MCQs with a total of 150 marks.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
For Animal Husbandry courses:
- The JCECE exam for animal husbandry courses consists of 200 MCQs with a total of 200 marks.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
It’s important to note that the JCECE exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based), and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
JCECE 2025 Negative Marking Scheme
JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by JCECEB (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board) for admission to various undergraduate courses in engineering, medical, and agriculture streams in colleges/institutes of Jharkhand.
As per the official notification, there is negative marking in JCECE exam. For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of the total marks allotted to the question will be deducted. However, there is no negative marking for unanswered questions.
Here’s an example to understand the negative marking scheme in JCECE:
Suppose a question carries four marks. If a candidate answers it incorrectly, 1 mark will be deducted from the total marks allotted to the question (i.e., 4 marks), and the candidate will get only 3 marks for that question. If a candidate does not attempt the question, he/she will get zero marks for that question.
It is essential for candidates to be aware of the negative marking scheme while preparing for the JCECE exam and attempt only those questions for which they are confident of the correct answer.
