About Himachal Pradesh Board Of Secondary Education
HPBOSE is abbreviated as the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. It was established in 1969, and its headquarters is located in Dharamshala. The first chairman of the HP Board is Kultar Chand Rana from Kangra. At present, more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the HPBOSE. The Board fixed 1650 examination centers for over 500,000 examinees every year. HP board conducts the state-level examination for the 10th and 12th standard in the month of March every year.
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School (HPBOSE) was started with a staff of 34 who have consequently increased to 438 members. The HP Board prescribes syllabus, all courses textbooks for the gov and private schools, and courses of instruction. Also, the HPBOSE conducts exams for 8th (Private Capacity), 10th, 11, 12 J.B.T, and T.T.C. The HP Board is an agency of the Himachal Pradesh Govt entrusted with the responsibilities of conducting secondary school examinations in Himachal Pradesh.
