DASA 2023 Notification: Direct Admission of Students Abroad Applications-DASA Applications will Start from April 2023.Admissions to various UG and PG programmes under the DASA scheme will be coordinated by National Institute of Technology Warangal, India for the year 2023-24. Admissions will be offered to the candidates based on JEE Mains (UG) & GRE, GMAT(PG). Shortlisted candidates will be allotted seats and called for the Counselling Process. About DASA 2024

DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) is a scheme under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for admitting foreign students to undergraduate engineering, architecture, and planning programs in premier technical institutions in India.

Under the DASA scheme, foreign nationals or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) holding citizenship of countries other than India can apply for admission to these programs. The participating institutions include the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), and several other premier institutions in India.

DASA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For UG Programs

• Candidates should have completed 10+2 from any recognized Board with minimum 60% aggregate with Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry,Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology)
• Applicant should have a valid JEE(Main)-2023 rank.
• Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 1998.

For PG Programs

• No age limitations
• Candidate must be NRI, PIO, or OCI.
• Completed with minimum 60% marks with UG courses in relevant field for M.Tech. / M.Arch./ M.Plan./ M.Des./ MURP.
• For M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan./ M.Des.: Minimum 300 GRE Test Score (Verbal + Quantitative) is required.
• For MBA: A minimum 480 GMAT test score is required

Age Limit

There is no age limit for PG Programs through DASA 2023.

DASA Application Process

Candidates can fill the application form on the official website of the Institute. Here are the steps to be followed while filling the application form.

Step 1: Registration

• Go to the official website of DASA and click on the “Register” button.
• Fill in the required details, including personal information, contact details, and academic details.
• Create a password and click on the “Register” button.

Step 2: Fill in the application form

• Log in to your DASA account using your registered email ID and password.
• Fill in the application form, including your personal details, academic qualifications, and preferred choice of program and institution.
• Upload the required documents, including academic records, passport, and English proficiency test scores.

Step 3: Pay the application fee

• Pay the non-refundable application fee of USD 300 through the online payment gateway using a credit/debit card or net banking.
• The payment confirmation will be sent to your registered email ID.

Step 4: Submit the application form

• Check the application form thoroughly for any errors or omissions.
• Submit the application form and wait for the confirmation message.

Step 5: Check the application status

• Log in to your DASA account and check the status of your application regularly.
• If your application is accepted, you will receive a confirmation message with the further details regarding the admission process.

DASA 2024 Selection Process

Candidates will be selected for admissions based on the valid scores obtained in Entrance Test. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Counselling Process. Counselling Schedule will be announced only after the declaration of the merit list. Choice Filling is to be done through online mode only. Seat Allotment will be offered to the candidates based on the choices filled at the time of application. Candidates can participate in various rounds of seat allotment if they are not satisfied with the previous one. After the seat allotment, candidates should report at the allotted Institutes.

DASA 2024 Counselling

The counselling process for DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) consists of three rounds. Here is a detailed overview of each round:

Round 1:

• In the first round of counselling, candidates are allotted seats based on their merit ranking and preferred choice of program and institution.
• The seat allotment result is announced on the official website of DASA, and candidates can download their provisional admission letters and pay the first-semester fees.
• Candidates who are allotted a seat in the first round can either accept the seat and pay the fees or withdraw from the process.

Round 2 & 3:

• In this round, candidates who have already been allotted a seat in the first round can also participate if they wish to upgrade to a higher preference program or institution.
• The seat allotment result is announced on the official website, and candidates can download their provisional admission letters and pay the first-semester fees.

After the three rounds of counselling, if there are any vacant seats left, a spot round may be conducted to fill them. In the spot round, candidates who have registered for DASA but have not been allotted a seat in the previous rounds can participate.
