About AIPVT Counselling 2024 – Overview

The AIPVT exam, also known as the All India Pre-Veterinary Test, was a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for admission to undergraduate courses in veterinary science and animal husbandry.

However, starting from 2017, the AIPVT has been replaced by the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to all undergraduate medical and dental courses, including veterinary science and animal husbandry. So, now students who want to pursue a career in veterinary science need to appear for the NEET exam.

The NEET exam is conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is the only entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in India, including veterinary science and animal husbandry. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions covering topics in physics, chemistry, and biology.
