About Raksha Shakti University
The Government of Gujarat has established this university by the Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009 Gujarat bill No-16 of 2009 in the sixtieth year of the Republic of India to prepare the youth of the state for becoming effective and efficient security personnel and to conduct courses and award degrees, diplomas, and certificate for the said purpose. The Raksha Shakti University is a unique and first of its kind in India for conducting certificate, diploma and degree courses in the field of Police science and internal security.
One of the main objectives of the University is to train and prepare manpower to tackle the upcoming challenges of various types of offenses such as terrorism, economic offenses, cybercrime, telecommunication offenses and the offenses requiring expertise in forensic science. The University is providing higher education as par with any other university of the state and India. As we know that this university will conduct semester exams Twice in a year. Raksha Shakti University offers a one-year diploma course in with 80 seats and a three-month certificate course in Photography, and PG Diploma. The institute also offers B.A. and B.Tech etc under its UG.
