The Delhi University Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (DU PGMET) was a medical entrance examination conducted by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi. However, the exam has been discontinued since 2016 and replaced by the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to postgraduate medical courses.

DU PGMET Exam Pattern 2025
DU PGMET replaced by (NEET PG/MDS) entrance exam will be held on 21st May 2022.
- The Exam will be through online mode.
- The question paper will be of 180 objective type questions.
- The duration of the exam is for 3 hours.
- 1 mark will be awarded for the correct answer.
- No negative marking for the wrong answer.
DU PGMET 2025 Exam Duration, marks
The Delhi University PGMET exam was not being conducted. However, Delhi University does offer various postgraduate medical courses through its Faculty of Medical Sciences. The admission to these courses is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG exam, which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The duration of the NEET PG exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes. It consists of 300 multiple-choice questions, and the maximum marks that can be obtained in the exam are 1200. The exam covers various topics related to medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, community medicine, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and psychiatry.

DU PGMET Syllabus 2025 Negative Marking Scheme
The Delhi University Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (DU PGMET) does not have negative marking. Each question carries one mark, and there is no penalty for wrong answers. So, you can attempt all the questions without worrying about losing marks for incorrect answers.
It is important to note that the DU PGMET has not been conducted since 2016, as the admission process for postgraduate medical courses in Delhi is now done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG.
