About Tripura ITI
The managing body of vocational education in Tripura is the Department of Industries & Commerce, Govt of Tripura. The first ITI in Tripura was established in the year 1958 by the Government. Over the years, many numbers of Skill Training Centres were developed.
The policies pertaining to vocational education are controlled by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT). and State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT).
The main objective of vocational training is to develop technical skills in the aspirants. Upon completion of the Courses, the Institute gives NCVT or SCVT Trade Certificates. Based on these Course Certificates, students can roll for jobs at the National or State Level.
