About Nagaland ITI
Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training at Kohima, in Nagaland, handles the day to day functions of skill-based training centers. As there is a need for skilled manpower industries, the state is investing vocational training through various govt based Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and private Industrial Training Centres (ITCs).
The policies pertaining to vocational education are controlled by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT).
The main objective of vocational training is to develop technical skills in the aspirants. Upon completion of the Courses, the Institute gives NCVT or SCVT Trade Certificates. Based on these Course Certificates, students can roll for jobs at the National or State Level.
