About CET Delhi 2024

CET Delhi stands for the Common Entrance Test Delhi, which is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), Government of NCT of Delhi. The exam is conducted once a year to offer admission to various diploma courses in engineering and technology, offered by various polytechnic colleges in Delhi.

The Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE) is a department of the Government of NCT of Delhi. It was established in 1987 to oversee the development and management of technical education in the state of Delhi. The primary role of DTTE is to promote technical education and training in various fields such as engineering, technology, management, and applied arts.

DTTE is responsible for the administration of various technical education and training programs in Delhi, including diploma and degree courses in engineering and technology, management programs, vocational training, and skill development programs. CET Delhi 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or waiting for their results are also eligible to apply.

• For Diploma courses-
  • Passed class X with mathematics as a subject
• For Diploma (lateral entry courses)-for Delhi candidates only
  • Passed class 12th with minimum 60% marks.
• For Diploma in Pharmacy-
  • Passed class 12 with physics and chemistry as a compulsory subjects.

Age Limit

The age of candidates should be less than 21 years as of 1st August of the admission year.

• Register by providing basic details like name, email ID, and mobile number.

• Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and other documents as required.
• Pay the application fee online through net banking, credit card, or debit card.

CET Delhi 2024 Exam Pattern

CET Delhi 2024 Syllabus

Test-1 Syllabus: CET Delhi Test-1 is conducted for 10th based engineering/non-engineering diploma courses. The question paper is prepared as per the CBSE syllabus of class IX and class X.

Test-2 Syllabus: Candidates who want to take admission in diploma course in Modern Office Practice – English need to appear this test. This test is also organized for admission to a one-year certificate course in Hospitality Operations, Retail Services & Finance Executive.

Test-3 Syllabus: This test is organized for providing admission to the diploma course in Modern Office Practice – Hindi. A total of 150 questions from Hindi Comprehension including Grammar (60 questions) of class 12th level, Current Affairs (45 questions), and Logical & Analytical Ability (45 questions) will be asked in the examination.

Test 4 Syllabus: Candidates seeking admission in a diploma course in Pharmacy & wish to pursue a one-year certificate course in Software Testing Assistant from World Class Skill Centre (WCSC) can apply for this test. A total of 210 questions will be asked in this test, out of which students have to attempt only 150 questions. The question paper will contain questions from Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), Mathematics (60 questions), and Biology (60 questions) subjects. Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects while there is a choice between Biology & Mathematics subjects. The syllabus is based on the 11th & 12th class syllabus of the CBSE Board.

Test 5 Syllabus: It is organized for lateral entry admission in analogous diploma courses. ITI/10+2 (Vocational Stream) pass-outs can appear in this test. The question paper will comprise Physics (60 questions), Chemistry (30 questions) & Mathematics (60 questions) subjects. Candidates can prepare for this test from the 10th, 11th & 12th class syllabus of the CBSE board.

How to Prepare CET Delhi 2024

• Firstly, make a timetable for your studies according to the syllabus. Planning and Hard work are very important for every exam.
• Manage your time as per the subjects mentioned in the syllabus. Choose the right study material available in the market or on the internet.

CET Delhi 2024 Counselling

After the CET Delhi exam, the Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE), Government of NCT of Delhi, conducts the counseling process for admission to various diploma courses in engineering and technology offered by polytechnic colleges in Delhi. The counseling process is conducted in multiple rounds based on the availability of seats.

The counseling process generally includes the following steps:

1. Online Registration: Candidates who qualify for the CET Delhi exam need to register online for the counseling process.
2. Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates need to choose their preferred course and college based on their rank and availability of seats. Once the choices are made, they need to lock their choices.
3. Seat Allotment: Based on the candidate’s rank and the availability of seats, the seats are allotted to the candidates.
4. Payment of Admission Fee: Once the seat is allotted, candidates need to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission to the allotted college.
5. Reporting to the Allotted College: Candidates need to report to the allotted college with the necessary documents and admission fee to complete the admission process.

Based on this, the seat allotment result will be announced. Candidates will then have to pay the partial admission fee and get the documents verified. After successful verification, candidates will be able to lock the seat and at the end of the counseling report at the allocated Institute.
