ILICAT Exam Dates 2024
The official notification for ILICAT 2023 is released in Official website. The last date to submit the application is 21st April 2023 for Ph.D. & LLM Programs. The ILICAT 2023 exam will be conducted on 7th May 2023
ILICAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Law:
- Candidate must complete LL.M. Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks is eligible to apply.
- The application form completes in all respect along with a brief Research Plan shall be submitted for admission.
- LL.M. – One Year:
- Candidate must complete LL.B. Degree with not less than 50% marks from any University / Institution recognized by Bar Council of India as eligible. or
- P.G. Diploma:
- Minimum qualification is Graduate Degree from a recognized University.
- Additional 5% marks will be given to Law Graduates/CA/CMA/CS.
Age Limit
There is no age limit proposed by the university, but the candidate has to follow authority norms for the application ILICAT 2023.

- Jurisprudence and Legal Theory: Nature and sources of law, schools of jurisprudence, legal concepts, rights and duties, legal reasoning, and interpretation.
- Constitutional Law: Constitution of India, fundamental rights and duties, directive principles of state policy, center-state relations, emergency provisions, and constitutional amendments.
- Criminal Law: Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and Indian Evidence Act.
- Commercial Law: Contract Act, Sales of Goods Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, Companies Act, and Partnership Act.
- International Law: International law and municipal law, sources of international law, state recognition, state responsibility, and dispute resolution.
- Intellectual Property Rights: Copyright, trademarks, patents, and designs.
- Law of Torts: Nature and kinds of torts, negligence, nuisance, defamation, and remedies for torts.
- Family Law: Marriage and divorce, maintenance, adoption, and succession.

How to prepare ILICAT 2024
- Make small daily targets, weekly targets and revise the subject or topic as many times as possible until you are perfect on that. The best source is to refer the past question papers and practice those model papers.
