About MAT 2024

Management Aptitude Test is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. Any B-School national or international Candidate can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.

This exam is held four times yearly – February, May, September, and December. MAT Score is valid for over 600 B-Schools across India for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Candidates can choose to appear in PBT, IBT, or CBT mode of exam.

Candidates can take the MAT exam as:

• Double Internet Based Test (IBT) or
• Paper Based Test (PBT) or

MAT Exam Dates 2024

The official notification for MAT February session is released. MAT IBT is scheduled from 11-7 March 2023, and the PBT, CBT 1, and CBT 2 sessions will be held on 19 February, 26 February, and 4 March, 2023 respectively.

MAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university and final year studies can also apply.
• No minimum work experience is required to take MAT 2023 exam.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for appearing in the MAT exam. Anyone who has completed their graduation or is in the final year of graduation from a recognized university can apply for the exam, irrespective of their age.

MAT Application Process

he application process for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is as follows:

MAT 2024 Syllabus

1. Language Comprehension: This section evaluates the candidate’s ability to comprehend and interpret written passages in English. It includes topics like reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and verbal reasoning.
2. Mathematical Skills: This section tests the candidate’s mathematical ability and includes topics like arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and modern mathematics.

How to Prepare MAT 2024

• The best source is to refer the past question papers and practice those model papers. When we refer to the previous question papers then we automatically know the important topics and type of the questions.

MAT 2023 Selection Process

The selection process for admission into management programs through the MAT score varies from institute to institute. However, the common selection process followed by most B-Schools includes the following stages:

1. MAT Score: The first stage of the selection process is based on the MAT score. The candidate’s performance in the MAT exam is considered for shortlisting for the next stage of the selection process.
2. Group Discussion (GD): Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their MAT score are called for a group discussion (GD). In a group discussion, candidates are divided into groups and are given a topic to discuss. The GD is conducted to evaluate the candidate’s communication skills, ability to work in a team, and leadership qualities.
3. Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who clear the group discussion round are called for a personal interview. In a personal interview, candidates are evaluated based on their communication skills, knowledge of the subject, leadership qualities, and overall personality
4. Work Experience and Academic Record: Some B-Schools also consider the candidate’s work experience and academic record for the final selection. Candidates who have relevant work experience or have performed well in their academic record may have an advantage in the selection process..

MAT 2024 Admit Card

Candidates will be able to get MAT 2023 admit card in the month of February 2023. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application form within the time frame. Admit card will contain exam schedule, exam center details, candidate’s roll number, etc.

MAT 2024 Results

The Result will be available as MAT in online on the official website. Candidates can check their MAT 2023 result by entering roll number. The merit list will be declared after the results official available on the institute’s website.

MAT Rank Card

All India Management Association receives the Results of candidates that will be placed in the merit list as per rank secured in the examination. A separate merit list will be prepared for Students who qualify in the Entrance Test.

MAT 2024 Counselling

All India Management Association -AIMA does not conduct any counseling process. MAT counselling process will begin once MAT results are announced. The selection process will include Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

1. Shortlisting of candidates: After the announcement of the MAT result, participating institutes release their cutoff scores. Candidates who have scored above the cutoff marks are shortlisted for further rounds of the admission process.
2. GD/PI/WAT: Shortlisted candidates are invited for Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and/or Written Ability Test (WAT). The weightage given to each component of the selection process varies from institute to institute.
3. Final selection: Based on the performance of the candidates in the selection process, participating institutes release their final list of selected candidates.
4. Document verification: Shortlisted candidates are required to verify their documents and provide the necessary certificates as per the admission requirements of the institute.
