GATE score= Sq + (St – Sq) [(M - Mq)/ (Mt- Mq)]
In the above formula,
M = marks obtained by the candidate
Mq= qualifying marks for general category candidate
Mt= is the mean of marks of top 10 of the candidates who appeared in the paper
As per last year reports around 12 lakhs candidates applied for the GATE in which approx 2 lakhs candidates doesn’t appeared in this exam. Around 1, 36, 699 students cleared the examination.
